Applix Announces Strategic Partnerships

Applix Forms Alliances with Breakaway Solutions and Global Technology Partners, Inc. to Deliver Front Office, Web and Systems Integration Solutions

Westboro, MA, September 1, 1999 -- Applix, Inc. (NASDAQ:APLX), announced today that Breakaway Solutions and GTP (Global Technology Partners, Inc.) have joined Applix's Leadership Alliance Partner program to offer integration and consulting services for Applix's market-leading front office business applications throughout North America and Europe.

Under these strategic alliances, Applix and their partners will engage in joint client implementations which leverage the core competencies of each organizations. The partnerships with Breakaway Solutions and Global Technology Partners, Inc. provide Applix with enhanced integration capabilities for new customers and offer existing customers the ability to expand their CRM environment. The partnerships offerings include:

  • Breakaway Solutions - a Full Service Provider (FSP), that will offer application hosting and strategic systems integration to Applix CRM customers.

  • GTP - a consulting and systems integration firm that will offer Strategy Assessment methodologies, focused on sales automation and CRM Systems.
