Caldera Systems to Provide Applixware Office for OpenLinux
Applix' SHELF to be Bundled with OpenLinux 2.3
Westboro, MA, August 10, 1999 -- Applix, Inc. (NASDAQ:APLX), a leader in decision support applications for Linux and UNIX workstations, today announced a distribution agreement with Caldera Systems, Inc., a leader in designing, developing and marketing Linux-based business solutions.
Caldera Systems will distribute Applixware Office Version 4.4.2 in their new OpenLinux 2.3 product. In addition, Caldera will bundle Applix' SHELF, a visual Open Source application development toolset and runtime environment, in OpenLinux.
