Applix Executive Management

Jit Saxena, Chairman, President, Chief Operating Officer, and CEO

Mr. Saxena, a founder of Applix, has been President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of the company since its inception in 1983. Prior to co-founding Applix, Mr. Saxena was employed by Data General Corporation from 1973 to 1982 in a variety of different management positions in product marketing and software development, including Senior Director of Software Development. Mr. Saxena has an M.S. (E.E.) from Michigan State and an M.B.A. from Boston University.

Edward Terino, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Terino joined Applix in 1999 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Applix, Mr. Terino was Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary of Celerity Solutions, Inc., a supply chain management software developer. He had previously spent eleven years with Houghton Mifflin Company, where he held several senior financial management positions, including Corporate Vice President of Finance, Planning and Operations for Educational Publishing, and Corporate Controller. He holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University and an M.B.A. from Suffolk University.

Alan Goldsworthy, President, Front Office Business Solutions Division

Mr. Goldsworthy joined Applix in 2000 as President, Front Office Business Solutions Division, which includes Applix's iCRM (iEnterprise) and business intelligence (iTM1) product lines. He is responsible for the division's business strategy, development and growth in the rapidly evolving e-business market. Alan will lead worldwide sales, marketing, research and development, and service and support efforts for the division. Prior to joining Applix, Alan held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer with CMI-Competitive Solutions Inc. (CSI). Prior to CSI, Mr. Goldsworthy held various sales, marketing, and operational management positions at Digital Equipment Corporation over a period of 15 years. Alan earned a BS degree in Computer Science from Wayne State University and holds a MBA Degree from Northeastern University's Executive MBA Program.

Mr. Bernie Thompson, President, Linux Division

Mr. Thompson joined Applix in 1999 as President, Linux Division. Mr. Thompson is responsible for all of the Linux Division's operations. Prior to joining Applix, Mr. Thompson was founder and CEO of Cosource.com, which was acquired by Applix in 1999, and previously represented the business and technical interests of S3, Inc. at Microsoft, and earlier worked at IBM on the development of the OS/2 operating system. His involvement with Linux dates back to 1993.

Craig Cervo, Vice President, Product Development

Mr. Cervo joined Applix in 1992 as Vice President, Research and Development and was promoted to Vice President, Product Development in 1994. Prior to joining Applix, Mr. Cervo was with Xyquest, Inc., since 1988 a developer of word processing software, as Vice President of Engineering. Mr. Cervo was Vice President of Engineering of Interleaf, Inc., from 1984 to 1988, a developer of desktop publishing applications. Mr. Cervo was also employed for ten years at Atex, Inc., in a variety of management and senior software development positions. Mr. Cervo has a B.S. (A.E.) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Barry Zane, Vice President, Research and Development, Linux Division

Mr. Zane has been with Applix in a number of product development capacities since 1983. Mr. Zane was elected Vice President, Technology in 1991. Prior to joining Applix, from 1978 to 1983, Mr. Zane held various positions in software development and management at Prime Computer, Inc. Mr. Zane has a B.S. (E.E.) from Carnegie Mellon University.

David Golan, Vice President, CRM Solutions

David Golan is the Vice President of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Solutions for Applix. He is responsible for strategic marketing and planning, Product Marketing and Business Development for the Applix iEnterprise CRM Suite. Prior to his present role, David has held several key executive management and sales positions, including Vice President, Eastern and Western Sales, as well as Vice President, Business Development. Prior to joining Applix in 1995, when the company acquired Target Systems Corporation, David held several key positions with Target Systems, including Director of Sales and Director of Strategic Accounts. Target Systems Corporation was the original developer of the iEnterprise product and had been in the Customer Service market since 1986. David has more than 12 years of direct software sales and marketing experience. Having joined Target Systems in 1991, David also brings more than 8 years of direct CRM experience and perspective to the rapidly evolving Customer Relationship Management market. He is a frequent speaker at several industry forums and technology conferences and a member of HDI and ASP.

R. J. Grandpre, Vice President Sales & Marketing for the Applixware Business Group

Mr. Grandpre is responsible for directing all sales and marketing efforts for the Applixware product line with particular emphasis on the rapidly emerging Linux market. He joined Applix in 1991 and has held several positions, most recently serving as Director of Sales for Applix's EMEA Distribution channel based in Leusden, Netherlands. He has been instrumental in establishing Applix's international partner channel. Mr. Grandpre holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and is currently completing an MBA with the University of Chicago.

Walter Hilger, Vice President, Operations and Planning

Mr. Hilger's responsibilities include consolidation of operational activities and organization, successful implementation of the Applix web-based customer-facing Enterprise solution, streamlining order processing processes, and license and maintenance activities. Mr. Hilger has 14 years of operations, planning, and technology experience. Most recently, he spent 3 years as Vice President Corporate Finance for Cahners Business Information.

J. Scott Hines, Vice President, Customer Services

Mr. Hines' responsibilities include management of the Customer Service and Consulting organizations for Applix Enterprise customers. Mr. Hines was most recently Vice President of Operations and Services at Sales Technologies. Prior to joining Sales Technologies, Mr. Hines was Director of Technology at InterSystems. He has also held executive product marketing and development positions at Computer Corporation of America and Persoft, Inc. Mr. Hines earned a B.A. in Economics and an M.B.A. at Babson College.

Suzanne L. Hoffman, Vice President of Strategic Alliances

Ms. Hoffman joined Applix in July of 1999 as Vice President of Strategic Alliances. She is responsible for creating partnership and strategic alliances with software companies, consulting organizations, and system integrators for both resale opportunities and strategic partnerships. Prior to joining Applix, Ms. Hoffman held the position of Worldwide Director of Application Partners at Hyperion Solutions. Ms. Hoffman has held sales management and marketing positions at Gentia, Inc., Metaphor, Inc. (wholly owned subsidiary of IBM), Ingres, Inc., Cognos Corporation, SPSS, Inc., and the Bureau of National Affairs, Inc. MS. Hoffman is a graduate of Smith College and holds an AB degree in Economics and Mathematics.

Ed Hurley-Wales, Vice President, Human Resources

Mr. Hurley-Wales joined Applix in October, 1995 as Vice President of worldwide Human Resources. Mr. Hurley-Wales is responsible for providing worldwide strategic human resources leadership to Applix, in addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function. He is also responsible for developing and implementing Human Resource strategies, programs, and infrastructure. Prior to joining Applix, Mr. Hurley-Wales held various positions in Human Resources supporting executives, management and employees in Engineering, Product Management, Sales and Marketing with such companies as Duracell, Digital Equipment Corporation, and Wang Laboratories. Mr. Hurley-Wales holds a Masters in Education from Cambridge College.

Martin Richmond-Coggan, Vice President, iTM1 Product Management

Martin Richmond-Coggan possesses an M.A. degree from Oxford University and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He has over 18 years experience in the software industry including twelve years in the OLAP segment, the last 5 of which have been associated with iTM1. Prior to joining Applix, Martin was co-founder and Managing Director of iTM1's European distributor and was instrumental in establishing many of the current iTM1 partners throughout the UK and Europe. In addition, Martin has extensive user experience and has held senior positions in the Accounting/Finance areas, including Director of Finance at Ingres UK. As Vice President, iTM1 Product Management, Martin's primary responsibility is to direct and orchestrate the iTM1 product initiatives to meet worldwide customer, partner and market needs, leading the planning and execution of the product development projects.

Michael Scheib, Vice President, European Operations

Mr. Scheib joined Applix in 1993 as German Country Manager and became Vice President of European Operations in 1997. Mr. Scheib is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and growth of all Applix product lines throughout Europe. Prior to joining Applix he served as Managing Director for Central Europe with Parametric Technology GmbH from 1991 to 1993 and from 1981 to 1991 held various sales management positions with CalComp GmbH. Michael started his career with Siemens AG in 1978, as product manager. He holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering from Fachhochschule at Dieburg in Germany.

Susan Stevenson, Vice President, North American Operations

Ms. Stevenson joined Applix in 1998 as Vice President, TM1 Business Unit, and in 1999 was elected Vice President, North American Operations. She is responsible for sales, marketing and services delivery of Applix iTM1 and Applix iEnterprise in North America, including new product development and integration. Ms. Stevenson joined Applix following her tenure as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Praxis International, prior to which she held executive sales and marketing positions at CV Services International,�BBN Hark Systems Corp., and Digital Equipment Corporation. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University, and is also a graduate of the Executive Program at the Yale School of Management.
