Director, Channel Sales

Job Description

Director will initially be a hands-on Channel sales person responsible for the enlistment and productivity of new and existing Channel partners. This is a manager of the function and of people as they will grow a team to handle new Channel recruitment under their Channel Segment. This will be a revenue bearing position on a Global scale.

Qualifications/Requirements

Strong sales and team building expertise. Minimum of 5-10 years Sales and Sales Management experience. Minimum of 1 year of recent Channel Sales experience within a software vendor. Strong technical aptitude. Knowledge of multiple business applications and software to address new uses for Applix technology. Experience with Global entities and doing business in foreign markets. Minimum of bachelor's degree with advanced studies preferred.

Corporate Sales Executive

Job Description

Drive new, incremental sales for the Applix Linux Division's; Linux, FreeBSD and Net BSD products and services in North America. Utilizing install base, leads, partners and new methods to identify opportunities. Identify new leads and new sources of leads. Track and manage pipeline of opportunities. Understand Applix Linux Division; Linux, FreeBSD and NetBSD products. Understand and sell the value of these products to the corporate market in North America. Manage the relationship between the Applix Linux Division and its customers. Work with the channel to fullfil opportunities. Drive the consultative sales process to support licensing of Applix Linux products or technologies.

Qualifications/Requirements

Background in sales and negotiation required. 3 to 5 years of experience direct sales within the personal computer industry. Knowledge of Linux products preferred. Technical knowledge including software, processors, displays, storage, and networking a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation experience required. BA/BS in Business preferred.

Cosource Sales and Business Development Manager

Job Description

A fascinating, unique position selling Open Source software to corporate customers in support of the http://www.cosource.com/ open auction market. Cosource.com gathers together a number of buyers interested in having certain software work done. Developers bid for the work. When there are enough buyers for a certain bid, the transaction is initiated. This sales manager will lead the effort to grow the volume of sales on Cosource.com. He/she will work with the leads already generated by the Cosource.com web site and develop corporate relationships to encourage more buyers to join the buyer pool for particular projects. Business Development Manager Anyware

Job Description

This is a strategic sales and marketing development position to identify, pursue and negotiate leveraged, strategic go-to-market alliances with customers and/or partners to enable Applix's Anyware technology marketplace worldwide. The successful candidate will compose and lead a business development effort for a 'go-to-market' strategy aligned with introducing Applix's Anyware technology to customers and/or partners. Coordinate these efforts with Applix sales and marketing organizations world wide.

Qualifications/Requirements

5+ years of sales/sales management experience. Fundamental understanding of an Application Service Provider (ASP's) business model to include strategic technologies in the marketplace. Consultative skills to understand Applix's, the customer's and the partners business needs, and the ability to develop and articulate business propositions in the context of e-business. Manager, Channel Implementation Services

The Manager of Channel Implementation Services will work for the VP of Strategic Alliances. This position has several major components outlined below. Ensuring that the Channel Partners business needs are met is critical to the organization.

Overview

  • Pre-Sales Support- Responsible for establishing the priority and methods by which Channel Partner Managers engage technical assistance.
  • Pre-Sales Manager- Create and build a team of Channel pre-sales consultants to support the activities of the Channel Sales Team.
  • Project Management- Work with Consulting Services Organization for Proof of Concepts and initial software implementation strategy.
  • Skills Training and Knowledge Transfer- Create a timeline and sequence of learning modules that enable a partner to come up to speed quickly and efficiently.
  • Sales Account Management- Will work closely with other Sales Directors, Channel Marketing and the Field Sales Organization to ensure that the partners are using our sales methodologies, that they are properly positioned, and enjoying a successful and lucrative partnership with Applix.

  • Technical Skills- Manager should be technically competent, able to understand and articulate technical strategies. Rudimentary product-specific skills on par with the pre-sales staff should be maintained. Implementation skills can be augmented by the skills of the implementation teams.
  • Interpersonal Skills- Manager is responsible for the creation and development of a staff of diverse pre-sales and account management individuals. This team must work and interact with the Director Sales staff as well as the Consulting Services Organization.
  • Bachelors degree plus 5+ years experience in sales support (pre-sales, operations, or training)

Application Engineer (Pre-Sales)

Overview

Qualified candidates will be responsible for pre-sales technical support of Applix CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and DSS (Decision Support Systems) products. They will work with the Regional Sales Managers to develop and close business opportunities from a technical perspective. The primary focus for this position requires investigating a prospect's business and technical needs, mapping these needs to the Applix product suite for custom demonstrations and evaluations.

Responsibilities

  • Completing RFPs, presentations, product shows, product prototyping, and coordinating demonstrations for customers
  • Work closely with Regional Sales Managers in closing business.
  • Work with the Applix Enterprise products which include Help Desk, CRM, Anyware, and Java applications.
  • Provide needs analysis and architecture discussions for customers

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of pre/post sales technical support in a client server or web based environment.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Internet, Access, Informix/databases, X-Windows, Windows, and Windows NT, and any 4th GL application tools as needed.
  • Prior experience using or supporting services industry along with prototyping helpdesk, CRM, or DSS applications is desirable.
  • Experience with programming languages like C or Visual Basic is desired.

  • Knowledge of sales cycles and solutions selling, with superior presentation skills.

Channel Integration Consultant
CIC - Westboro, MA

Job Description

This person is responsible for providing the initial training and guidance through the sales cycle and initial implementation period of a new partner. He/she works closely with the Channel Sales Manager and the Partner Technical team to drive the sales to completion and to referenceability. He/she is responsible for the high level project management of the Proof of Concept and the resultant product delivery. He/she provides the hand-off to the Channel Account Manager at the end of the sales cycle (12 months after signing). He/she has to be able to handle at least 4 accounts simultaneously in varying stages of completion. Assists in the qualification, assessment and eventual certification of Partners.

Qualifications/Requirements

Strong product and peripheral environment knowledge. Adept at understanding multiple industries as implementation strategies. Creative problem solving. Project management experience. Sales aptitude. Minimum of 3-5 years of vendor pre-sales or implementation experience. OLAP or CRM experience a must. College degree with finance experience preferred.

Summary

The individual will be responsible for the sales of CRM and/or TM1 product line within an assigned territory. This position has an established sales quota, new business and profit objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with Fortune 1000 customers to determine their business need for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software and/or Decision Support Software (DSS) Solutions.

Job Description

  • Find, develop, and qualify CRM/DSS sales opportunities in financial services companies.
  • Qualify and drive $100K to $1M deals in a highly competitive market
  • Prospect and drive campaigns at the CFO, CIO, CEO level
  • Consistently achieve quarterly and annual sales quotas

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 5+ years of client-server software sales experience
  • Must have consistently demonstrated the ability to exceed quota assignments, manage a complex sell cycle and develop new businesses
  • The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen and utilizes this knowledge to sell enterprise solutions at the highest level of management for prospective customers
  • Strong verbal phone and presentation skills
  • The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment is critical
