Architecture
IBM Cognos 8 Business Intelligence software is integrated into HR Analyser. The solution uses Cognos reporting for OLAP cubes. Cognos Framework Manager provides the metadata layer. Standard metrics are created using Cognos scorecarding. Cognos Access Manager controls reporting security, although the product is compatible with other security layers.HR Analyser provides a total of seven OLAP cubes or modules: Workforce, Absence, Training, Recruitment, Multi Currency, Best Value Performance Indicators, and Benchmarking and People Impact.
Over 70 standard reports have been built using Cognos reporting. HR Analyser also provides eight standard human capital scorecards and these can be customized.
The ETL engine is powered by Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and runs on an MS Windows platform. The presentation layer uses IBM Cognos 8 BI and can run in any Cognos supported environment.
