Overview
The Parson Healthcare Performance Management (HPM) solution allows your organization to tie patient clinical data with administrative performance information. It provides a complete view of the health of the patient and the underlying cost associations of the practice.HPM uses IBM Cognos 8 Business Intelligence, and Microsoft Windows Workflow, to provide the 360-degree transparency you need to increase efficiency, reach financial objectives, and improve clinical outcomes. It provides analysis, dashboards, and reporting of operational, financial, and clinical KPIs to support decision-making.
HPM specifically addresses the needs of healthcare providers, including integrated delivery systems, hospitals, ancillary care systems, independent practice associations (IPAs), and management services organizations (MSOs).
HPM modules include:
- Strategic Planning Module:D evelop a detailed 10-year plan to support product and service-line decisions, location and access decisions, pricing, and more.

Architecture
The HPM solution includes predefined, customizable data marts for functional subject areas of healthcare integrated delivery. Comprehensive planning and forecasting models provide high-level strategic planning as well as detailed clinical, financial, and operational planning that can be rolled into an enterprise-wide plan.
The Reporting and Analysis modules are built using IBM Cognos 8 reporting, analysis, and query. IBM Cognos 8 event management provides event-driven notification based on customized thresholds. Microsoft Windows Workflow provides the foundation for advanced automation and workflow that can be triggered from Cognos event management. Metrics-driven management utilizes IBM Cognos 8 scorecarding and includes a top-level executive dashboard.
HPM runs on Microsoft Windows Server 2003. It supports a broad range of relational and non-relational data sources, with the healthcare performance data warehouse on Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle RDBMS.
