Premier Viewpoint delivers next-generation business intelligence to financial institutions using innovative, browser-based features. It simplifies database management, allowing users to author, manage, and view reports from a single portal. And it provides concise and easy-to-understand access to the valuable data your organization relies on to make decisions and formulate policy. Premier Viewpoint gives you complete control of report distribution throughout the entire organization.

Your organization can schedule the delivery of various reports to specific individuals, and you can also determine which content they access. This flexible and secure feature allows your institution to effectively manage access to potentially sensitive information.

Premier Viewpoint offers something for everyone. Novices and experts alike can build, format, and edit customized reports with minimal effort and training. All report elements, including text, images, and graphs can be imported and arranged using simple drag and-drop functionality. As objects are added, moved, or deleted, the solution automatically adjusts the layout to ensure a consistent and professional look.

Architecture

Information Technology, Inc (ITI) is a IBM Cognos OEM and currently licenses IBM Cognos ReportNet, IBM Cognos Impromptu, and IBM Cognos PowerPlay to financial institutions. IBM Cognos ReportNet and IBM Cognos 8 Business Intelligence are renamed to Premier Viewpoint for our ITI clients, and IBM Cognos PowerPlay is labeled PrimePlus.

Currently, our customers access IBM Cognos Impromptu through a rich client application installed on the individual PC. No modifications have been made to put IBM Cognos software under the covers. Premier Viewpoint is accessed through the current Cognos portal. Institutions can access the browser-based application and perform functions based on their security.

Premier Viewpoint includes a set of standard reports (approximately 120) that detail a wide range of data, from checking accounts opened by officer to loans past due. PrimePlus is used to analyze General Ledger activity and provides roll-up functionality for reports.

Premier Viewpoint and PrimePlus access a SQL database installed on a Windows Server. Plans are underway to develop the database to be inherent on IBM iSeries, which both Premier Viewpoint and PrimePlus will access. Premier Viewpoint will then use the DB2 express for its content store.

Availability

Customers can contact ITI sales representatives to initiate a proposal for the application. Once the contracts have been signed and returned by the institution, the ITI support group will schedule installation and training sessions.
