People Analytics provides all the targets and control needed for areas such as absenteeism, recruitment and staff retention and comes with 150 best practice key performance indicators pre-defined.

  • Visual impact of employee value: Visually demonstrates how metrics impact each other in the human capital value chain. As a result, management can spend more time on the business.
  • Increases legal compliance and liability protection: Clarifies where there are issues in recruitment, retention, and promotion.
  • Built using core measures: Uses a defined list of core measures/KPIs. This frees up time to understand the additional key operational drivers to these measures, which can be added with little effort.

Architecture

IBM Cognos 8 Business Intelligence software is integrated into Corporate Analytics. The solution uses Cognos reporting for OLAP cubes. Cognos Framework Manager provides the metadata layer. Standard metrics are created using Cognos scorecarding. Cognos Access Manager controls reporting security, although the product is compatible with other security layers.

People Analytics provides a total of seven OLAP cubes or modules: Workforce, Absence, Training, Recruitment, Multi Currency, Best Value Performance Indicators, and Benchmarking and People Impact. Over 70 standard reports have been built using Cognos reporting. People Analytics also provides eight standard human capital scorecards, which can be customized.

The ETL engine is powered by Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and runs on an MS Windows platform. The presentation layer uses IBM Cognos 8 BI and can run in any Cognos supported environment.
