Automatic Security Pass-Through
Executive Viewer fully complies with all security measures previously defined in the source OLAP database(s). Predetermined security
filters, parameters and restrictions are automatically passed through with the currently allocated username and password, eliminating the
need for additional user account administration.
Server-Based Architecture for Centralized Management
To ensure high performance and immediate response times for all users, regardless of connection speed, Executive Viewer's processing is
completed at the server level. Any changes necessary to the environment, including upgrades to a newer version and/or access to additional
OLAP sources, are completed at the server level using the web-based EV Server Manager, and are immediately available to users with no need
to visit the users' desktops.
Mass User Personalization with Personalized Outlines
In cases where different types of user classes need an individualized view of the OLAP information, Executive Viewer's Personalized
Outlines provides an easy way to hide information based on existing user-class security. In addition to the ability of removing ?no
access' rows and columns, Personalized Outlines suppresses the OLAP outline, resulting in the distribution of only pertinent levels of
information without the need of creating additional applications or customized queries.
