Organize Reports for Distribution with Bookshelves
Executive Viewer's flexible Bookshelf functionality allows for the creation and distribution of reports and analyses, without the need for a
separate development environment. Each Bookshelf can contain multiple Books, and within each Book, there can be multiple Sheets for a
comprehensive grouping of all reports. In addition to placing Books on the shared Bookshelves, the ability to copy, save or create
reports for personal use is available using My Books. All Books and Bookshelves can be protected against saving and/or opening.
Tailor How Information is Displayed with Extensive Formatting
Formatting reports the way users are used to seeing the information is easy to achieve on a sheet, generation/level, member, member
combination and individual cell basis. Formatting options include borders and lines, background/foreground colors, fonts, international
notation, titles, headers/footers, scaling and more. Asynchronous selection is also supported for those cases where stacked member
combinations need to be hidden. With all formatting, the guessing game of what the results will look like is eliminated as formatting is
instantly displayed as you select the option.
Create Visual Representations using Various Charting Types
Standard Charting. Choose from a variety of charts, including Bar, Line, Bi-Scale, Area, Pie, Bubble and Radar charts. To create a
graphical representation of the data, simply select the chart type from the pull down menu and instantly the data is transformed, without
the need of a multi-step wizard or axis definition. Once created, all charts remain fully interactive for slicing and dicing, stacking,
drill-up and drill-down or can be displayed in the same screen with the support table data.
Mapping & Data Visualization. Executive Viewer has the unique ability to create fully interactive geographical maps to display results with
traffic lights, bar charts or pie charts. Included with the product are all world countries as well as the state level for the United
States. For those needing advanced data visualization, Executive Viewer supports all industry standard shape-files (.shp) and can easily
convert data stored in the OLAP data source to any graphical image created as a shape-file.
Include Detailed Report Information with Sheet Notes
Add comments to reports and display them together with the information for report clarity. Comments are stored with the report and can be
used by everyone that has access to that report. Additionally, Linked Reporting Objects (Essbase) or Actions (MSAS) are supported,
providing links to text documents or other applications on an individual cell basis.
Achieve “WYSIWYG” Printing Directly from the Web
What you see on the screen is exactly what you print with Executive Viewer's advanced printing functionality, even over the web. Print a
single sheet, multiple sheets or all sheets in the report with additional options such as print “n” wide by “n” long, fit to page,
grayscale and more. For a more professional report, a title page and table of contents can be quickly added. In cases where a single
report needs to be printed across a range of members, the Print Range functionality allows for the same sheet to be automatically
printed for all member combinations selected.
Export to Popular Applications such as PDF and Excel
For those cases where the information retrieved needs to be put in another format, Executive Viewer reports can be saved in PDF format,
emailed as a PDF attachment or copied into Office Applications such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word. No additional software is required to
generate the PDFs and data being copied can be directly pasted into the Office Application with or without header information.
