Getting to Work Right Away
Very often, implementing an OLAP analysis and reporting solution requires not only the purchase of the software but costly implementation
time and training. Since Executive Viewer is the only out of the box solution specifically designed for OLAP databases, immediate OLAP
access can be achieved within an hour. Once the server component is installed and configured, one only needs to point a web browser to the
provided HTML page and OLAP data from multiple OLAP servers is available, without expensive or time-consuming programming, object building
or protocol changes.
Thin Client for Immediate User Access
After pointing their browser to the provided HTML page, Executive Viewer will automatically install and update their machine. Within
seconds of installation of the client, users have access to all Executive Viewer features and functionalities and can immediately interact
with the OLAP database.
OLAP Database Port Optimization
Built into Executive Viewer's server environment is the ability to leverage the current OLAP port allocations while providing additional
users access to the OLAP data. If a user is not actively working with the OLAP information but rather just looking at the returned results
of a query, the EV Server component will disconnect from the OLAP port, allowing additional users to access the information. As soon as the
user starts to interact with the information again, they are automatically and seamlessly reconnected to the port without the need to login
or losing the current query.
