The ability to move dimensions dynamically within a report, or make them a selection, criteria is enough to change the organization of the
view, easily navigate the database, and uncover underlying information needed for decision-making. Dimensions, as well as members, can be
pivoted by just dragging and dropping them to any location in the report and/or stacked upon one another. The member selections and orders
are automatically retained, even when the dimensions are moved off the table as a selection criterion and then returned again later.
Search For and Select Members for Targeted Information Retrievals
OLAP outlines that were previously complicated to understand suddenly become clear and easy to search to select the members needed for
analysis. The advanced Member Selection allows you to find the information you are looking for quickly and without having to know the
database structure. Members can be searched by names, aliases, properties, user defined attributes (UDA's), attributes and level/generation
names. Once found, selections can be made individually, on an outline position level or by Boolean filters with a simple click of the mouse
button.
Filter Through Large Data Sets with Advanced Sorting
Organizing data in an easy to understand format can be quickly achieved with both basic and advanced sorting functionalities. Simple
ascending/descending sorts can be done on value, rank, outline order and/or alphabetically. Members can be selected based on their value or
combination of values by using the value range option. To conduct top/bottom analyses (Pareto), Executive Viewer provides a variety of
options to select from, including by number, % contribution and more. All sorting options have the ability to add a dynamically calculated
total at the end of the selection.
Explore Detailed Data with Drill-Up, Drill-Down and Relational
Drill-Through
Easy Drilling. Drilling up and down with Easy Drilling provides one-click access to supporting data within the OLAP cube. Those members who
have information above or below them are easily identified with an arrow for those not familiar with the database structure.
Relational Drill-Through. Detailed data not stored in the OLAP cube can be instantly retrieved with one click. Results are populated in the
same screen, without the need to launch a separate environment, to allow seamless analysis. Simply point to any cell in the report and view
the detailed reports that make up that cell, for example invoice line items or customer information. When another cell is selected, records
for the new cell are retrieved instantly. All support relational results remain fully interactive and can be printed as part of the OLAP
data source report.
Navigate the Relevant Data with Remove Missing
Streamline the information being displayed by only including that information that is pertinent to the analysis. Executive Viewer's Remove
Missing functionality provides the ability to include or exclude members that contain missing values, zeros or are not accessible due based
on user security rights. Remove Missing works for both row and column members, even when members are stacked or asynchronously displayed.
