The index consists of more than 300 companies representing the top 10 per cent of the leading sustainability companies in 60 industry groups across 34 countries. These companies are selected from the largest 2500 companies in the Dow Jones Global Indexes.

Cognos is the only independent Business Intelligence company named to this year's list. The company is one of an elite group of 74 organizations to have been named to the Index each year since its inception in 1999.
